Belleville Police have issued a public safety notice about a man who now resides in the Belleville area.
Police note that James Jeffery of no fixed address, is known to visit the downtown core. The 41-year-old has been the subject of several calls for Belleville Police, including an incident where he reportedly threw someone to the ground outside the Belleville Public Library. Police add that the incident resulted in conditions to stay away from the library along with an additional 12-month probation.
Jeffery is described by police as having a history of violence. He is described as six-feet tall, with brown hair and a stocky build. An image of Jeffery has been released.
Police are asking anyone who spots Jeffery acting suspicious or in a concerning way, is asked toot approach and contact police.
