Quinte West cooling centre / City of Quinte West.
Quinte West continues to rely on the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena in Trenton as a cooling centre.
The site opened back up the public again on Sunday. The arena continues to be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. up until Monday, August 11th.
The City activates the site when we have two straight days of a temperature at 31 degrees Celsius or higher, or if the humidex value pushes everything 35 degrees Celsius and above.
Splash pads remain open each day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Trenton and Frankford.
