West Nile Virus has been found in the Picton Area.
The South East Health Unit continues to monitor mosquitoes traps throughout the summer. Staff have announced that a pool of mosquitoes has recently tested positive for the virus in one of the traps in the Picton area. This is the second time West Nile Virus has been detected in the South East Health Unit’s area this summer. An American cow tested positive for the virus last month in Brockville.
