Habitat For Humanity Prince Edward Hastings has provided another update this week about demolition day for the old Belleville Police Station.
The community is invited to attend a brief ceremony on demolition day – September 9th.
The old building at 93 Dundas Street East will be torn down to make way for Habitat’s affordable housing complex. The 66-unit condo complex will feature one, two, and three bedroom units.
Habitat For Humanity Prince Edward Hastings is currently encouraging people to make a $50 donation or more by August 31st. The money will go towards the project. Everyone who makes a donation will be entered into a draw for a chance to be the one to hit the button on demolition day.
Donations can be made through Habitat’s website.
