The local humane society is able to provide the first community spay and neuter clinic this year thanks to a private donation.
Staff with Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward have announced today, that Tony Martin has donated $10,000, which will completely cover the cost of the clinic. Martin is an animal advocate and longtime donor.
The clinic will take place on September 30, and is being done in collaboration with the Southeastern Spay Neuter Clinic.
Martin’s funds will be able to spay and neuter between 8-10 dogs and 20-24 cats.
Registration opens as of September 3rd and the clinic is available to low-income residents only. Everything will run on a first come, first serve basis.
