Firefighters in Belleville have a new deal with the City.
Belleville Council has signed off on a new four-year deal with the Belleville Professional Firefighters Association.
Firefighters will have a retroactive wage increase of 4.3% for 2024. The increase this year will be 3%, followed by 3.2% in 2026 and 3.5% in 2027.
The new deal also improves mental health coverage, and further benefits. Cancer screening is also covered for the first time.
