Full-time support staff across Ontario colleges holding rallies at various picket lines today

It has been a full week since full-time support staff at Ontario Colleges, went on strike.

Over 10,000 support staff, represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, have yet to reach a deal with the College Employer Council. OPSEU kicked in its strike mandate last Thursday.

A picket line continues at Loyalist College in Belleville. Roughly 130 Loyalist staff are picketing weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in two shifts.

OPSEU will have a variety of rallies at the picket lines today at noon.  The union is calling it a Provincial Day of Action.
