Tomorrow will mark three weeks of picket lines across all of Ontario’s 24 Colleges.
Full-time support staff, represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, continue to be out after a deal could not be reached with the College Employer Council. Talks have broken down between OPSEU and the CEC following three-days of mediation up until Monday.
OPSEU is planning to hold rallies at eight campuses across Ontario. Some members of OPSEU Local 421 at Loyalist will be travelling to the rally at Algonquin College. The picket line at Loyalist will only run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow. OPSEU and Loyalist College still do not have a strike protocol agreement in place.
