It’s a busy few days here in Quinte.
Here is a full list of events and activities:
*Frankenstein movie: You can watch the 1931 version for free tonight at the Glenwood Cemetery in Picton. The show starts at 8 p.m.
*Roseneath Fair is on this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
*Volunteers with Gleaners food bank will be getting their steps in this weekend. Gleaners will be conducting their first city-wide food drive in Belleville, for the first time since the pandemic. Staff and students from Albert College will be going door to door in the west end of Belleville tomorrow. Gleaners is acceptingt donations on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gleaners Warehouse on Wallbridge-Crescent in Belleville.
*Fire Prevention Week Tours: Quinte West will welcome people to Fire Station #1 in Trenton on Saturday, October 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Belleville Fire Station #3 will have an open house on Sunday, October 5th. The free event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include lots of things for the kids to do including a scavenger hunt.
*Savour The Flavour – mac and cheese contest- is this Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. in downtown Belleville.
*Doors Open Quinte West takes place across 14 locations this Saturday. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*Art and Acres Fine Art Festival and Market at Brambleberry Farm in Wooler. Free event runs all weekend.
*Light The Night Belleville is Saturday at West Zwick’s Park.
*There will also be a walk at Centennial Park in Trenton on Saturday. Blizzard For The Girls is designed to raise awareness about impaired driving. The event is in memory of Anastasia Collins and Rebecca Beatty, who were killed in Quinte West on October 2021 by an impaired driving.
*County Marathon is Sunday across Prince Edward County. Road closures will be in place.
*Belleville Senators hosting three pre-season games this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the CAA Arena.
