OPSEU and College Employer Council reached tentative deal

After close to six weeks, full-time support staff across all of Ontario’s 24 colleges are set to go back to work tomorrow. OPSEU and the College Employer Council announced early this morning, that a tentative deal has been reached. Details have yet to be released.

OPSEU added in a statement that members will review the terms of the new deal and vote to ratify. The tentative deal will have to be ratified by November 4th. The College Employer Council added in a separate statement, that a private mediation session over the Thankgiving weekend, helped to break a bargaining impasse.
