Prince Edward County is looking to hear from residents about whether a question should be added to next fall’s municipal election.
The County is interested in hearing from voters, about whether a third-party should be brought in to review the size of County council and the ward boundaries overall.
Staff have stated, that the cost of the review would be somewhere between $75,000 to $100,000. Decisions and changes would not be in play until the 2031 election at the earliest.
Residents who wish to learn more about adding the question on the ballot, can join county staff at a meeting tonight. The meeting at the Athol Town Hall will start at 6 p.m.
The final public meeting will be held on November 18th at 6 p.m., at Shire Hall in Picton.
