A vote this week has marked the official end of the full-time support staff strike across Ontario colleges, earlier this fall.
Full-time support staff, represented OPSEU, were on the picket line from September 11th to October 14th.
OPSEU has announced this week, that close to 10,000 of its members have ratified the new three-year contract. OPSEU says that over 75% of its members voted, with 89% in favour of the deal.
The College Employer Council noted that it is happy that a deal has been reached.
The new contract enhances pay for on-call and overtime shifts, as well as sees wages increase and job security protections.
