Northumberland County has a new winter warming centre opening tonight.
The site for the new centre will be the Northumberland County office along Courthouse Road in Cobourg.
Northumberland County Council offered the space, adding that a solution needed to be created soon rather than later.
The warming centre will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. each day until March 31st.
