The health unit serving the broader Quinte and Kingston region, has paused plans to close eight satellite offices.
Earlier this month, SouthEast Public Health announced that since they amalgamated earlier this year, they have been reviewing office locations and services.
Initially the team confirmed that they planned to close eight satellite officers in March, including in Trenton, Picton, and Napanee.
The Board of Health with SouthEast Public Health, has now asked that plans be paused. Health unit staff will be asked to present a formal report next month, about the steps they took to indicate which offices should close, and the overall impact that would have on the budgets.
