Belleville firefighters dealt with a kitchen fire this morning.
Crews were called to the blaze at a single family home on Edward Street, just after 8 a.m.
Staff say in a statement that the firefighters rapid response, stopped the fire from spreading throughout the home and to neighbouring buildings.
Everyone was able to evacuate safely and there were no injuries.
The damage is estimated at $250,000.
Belleville Fire and Emergency Services continue to encourage the community to have a fire escape plan in place, cook with caution, and test and maintain smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
