Several railway crossing in Belleville are blocked this morning, after a pedestrian was struck by a train.
Belleville Police have confirmed that they responded to the incident at 7:50 a.m.
The status of the person involved has not been released.
While the investigation continues, Belleville Police add that several railway crossings are closed to traffic from Haig Road to South Front Street.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the impacted areas as the train is stopped.
*The area has since re-opened to all traffic.
