This time last year, we had an ice storm in the Belleville region. This week, it looks like the Bancroft area could be the target.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement today for the broader area as heavy rain is expected.
Here in Belleville, the chance of showers will start this afternoon with a high of 10 Celsius. Tonight, 5 to 10 mm of rain with a thunderstorm is expected after midnight with a low of zero.
Wednesday, Belleville could see 15 to 25 mm of rain as the thunderstorm risk continues with a high of 5 Celsius.
Cooler conditions are expected along the Highway 7 corridor, prompting a real possibility for an ice storm.
