Tri-Board cancels school buses in northern Quinte as the region braces for rain

Tri-Board Transportation has cancelled school buses towards the Highway 7 corridor due to the possibility of freezing rain.

School buses are cancelled today in North and Central Hastings, North and Central Lennox and Addington, and North Central and South Frontenac.

Impacting students in Tweed, Bancroft, Kaladar and towards Sharbot Lake.

Some schools are also closed today up north. Families who are impacted by a school closures will be notified directly by the school. Everyone else can arrive to school as they remain open.

It’s a normal bus day for students in Belleville, Quinte, West, South Lennox and Addington, Prince Edward County and City of Kingston.

Here in Belleville, Environment Canada is calling for 20 to 30 mm of rain with a high of 9 Celsius today.
