Slippery road conditions cause two closures on Highway 401 in the Quinte region

It was a busy evening for emergency response teams, as the broader Quinte region was hit with another round of snow.

All lanes of Highway 401 Westbound in Napanee are currently closed between Palace Road and Centre Street-Flying J. The OPP say that three tractor-trailers crashed.

Police and fire crews also dealt with crashes overnight in Quinte West, Odessa, Colbourne and Shannonville.

Further West, all lanes of Highway 401 Eastbound in Port Hope near Westbrook Road are also closed.

Further details remain unknown.
