A new Loyalist College program has recieved a boost from the regional Hart Hub.
Staff with the Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub have been involved with Loyalist as they create the Mental Health and Addictions Work program. The program will begin offering a two-year diploma and one-year graduate certificate as of this fall.
The College and Hart Hub plan to work collaboratively to help support the next generation of professionals.
“The HART Hub partners and Loyalist College share a common goal: ensuring our community has the skilled professionals needed to support mental health and addictions services. Loyalist’s close relationship with our community partners ensures that students graduating from the new mental health programs are prepared to enter the field with the professionalism and compassion needed to support individuals and families on their path to recovery,” said Dr. Amanda Baskwill, Senior Vice President, Academic and Chief Learning Officer at Loyalist, in a statement.
