Belleville Police have provided an update, after a high school in the west-end went into a temporary lockdown yesterday.
Belleville Police have not named the school, but say in a statement, that they recieved a report about an individual inside a west-end school with a firearm yesterday.
Officers arrived and located the youth nearby with a replica firearm and several knives.
The 15-year-old was taken into custody without incident.
Belleville Police say that they believe that the teen had shown others that he was in possession of a firearm, later determined to be a replica, and made threats while concealing it under his sweater, including instructing others not to drive away.
The teen is now facing two counts each of uttering threats, assault with a weapon, along with forcible confinement, having an imitation firearm, and being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was held for a bail hearing.
