New gym at Loyalist College/ Submitted.
Loyalist College in Belleville will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new gym in the Kente building.
If you’ve been to Loyalist before, the new gym is at the very front of the building, where the old cafeteria space was.
The ceremony is open to the community and will take place at 5 p.m., this Friday.
The event will be ahead of the Lancers basketball games, as they host the Centennial College Colts. The women’s game starts at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m.
“From welcoming students at Orientation and cheering on the Lancers to celebrating our graduates at Convocation, our new gym is a place for our community to come together,” said Mark Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of Loyalist College, in a statement.
