Since the start of November, people want to know how COVID-19 is going to effect Christmas, since social distancing is being enforce on large groups of people.
Sadly, some Santa Claus parades are being cancelled. On November 2 the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce will not do the Trenton Parade and is going to move to an online event.
Belleville’s Parade is taking a new approach, taking place in the parking lot of the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre as a Holiday Drive-By Celebration Sunday November 22 at 5 p.m.
The community is invited to arrive by car and see more then 40 Community groups and businesses with there own set up and display. The Gleaners Food Bank will be there accepting food donations, firefighters are there for the annual toy drive and the Canada Post will also be on site to deliver letters to Santa.
Residents who don’t have a car can hop on a trolley shuttle located at the Quinte Mall (Winners entrance). Pedestrian access is prohibited by the guidelines due to social distancing.
91X is going to be on site and can’t wait to see you there!
