Talking Heads are finally being recognized by the Grammys.
The New York band cemented art rock throughout the course of their music career that was from 1975 to 1991.
They were inducted in the Hall of Fame back in 2002, and now David Byrne and the group will be getting the lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy.
The group has only been nominated twice, for their performance of “Burning Down The House” in 1983, and for their music video “Storytelling Giants” a few years later.
Members have since ventured off to do other projects. Drummer Chris Frantz released a memoir this year about touring.
The 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on January 31.
