Kingston band The Wilderness have announced that they will be embarking on a new chapter without their lead guitarist Sacha Lansky.
Over the weekend they announced that he’s decided to move back home to Europe as soon as he can make the trip safely.
“This does not mean the end of the Wilderness. Like always, we’re going to keep moving forward; in celebration of Sacha’s time with the band, we plan to record an EP of vintage Wilderness songs that we’ve been playing since day one, and we hope to release it this year. This will be the last project Sacha will be a part of, and we’re looking forward to doing what we love most one last time together. We will also actively be seeking a new lead guitarist effective immediately, beginning a new era with the band as we work towards the completion of our second record and remain hopeful for a swift return to the road,” said the group in a statement.
We wish Sacha and the band all the best moving forward.
