Here’s where the Indie 5 Countdown is at this week:
#5: Beach Bunny – Cloud 9
- This is a brand new addition to the countdown this week. It’s from the Chicago band’s latest album, “Honeymoon.” The group consists of singer and guitarist Lili Trifilio, guitarist Matt Henkels, drummer Jon Alvarado, and bassist Anthony Vaccaro.
#4: Conor Gains – Light Shine In
- This is the second week on the show for the Toronto artist. Conor moves up one spot with his lead single, from his new EP, “Three.”
#3: Arcane Ghosts – Butterfly
- It’s now the fourth week for this Brampton trio, and they move up one spot.
#2: Girl In Red – Serotonin
- After spending the last three weeks in the top spot, Marie Ulven moves down this week on the show. This one is from from her upcoming debut album, that will be released on April 30th.
#1: Twin XL – Slow Heart
- The LA band moves up two spots this week to earn their first number one song on the countdown.
- “Slow Heart is about the internal dialogue between your head and your heart and the idea that it’s impossible to love if you are unable to love yourself,” said lead singer Cameron Walker-Wright.
