The Frankford Huskies have announced today who will be helping guide the new Junior C team.
Patrick Shearer from Stirling will be the head coach. He has coached different age groups across the region and spent time with the Napanee Raiders.
His assistant coach will be Doug Matthew who spent time in the same role with the North Kawartha Jr. A former player for Trenton and Wellington, Justin Talsma will be the other assistant coach for the new team.
Ian Green from Port Hope will be the club’s general manager. He coached his hometown team for four years.
The facility and equipment manager will be Nikki Laton from Belleville. She works alongside her husband in the same role, with the Trenton Golden Hawks.
The Huskies will hit the ice this fall. The Tweed Oil Kings will also begin their inaugural season in the area this year, as apart of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League.
