The Marble Arts Centre in Tweed and the Bancroft Village Playhouse are starting the year under new leadership.
Tweed & Company Theatre has announced in a statement today, that they are now running both sites. The group owns the Tweed facility and has enter into a lease at the Bancroft site. Both the agreements were finalized last month.
The theatre company will be providing an update on February 1st about the new season. The venues will offer programs for youth in the region like summer camps, as well as a variety of concerts and other programming.
Staff are encouraging artists and performers in the region to follow social media to find out more about opportunities.
“We have long envisioned the possibilities that await here in Hastings County, and we can’t wait to present full seasons in these stunning venues, and continue on our path to make this region the next Stratford or Shaw. The future is bright here in Hastings…stay tuned,” said artistic director Tim Porter, in a statement.
