All week we’ve been seeing buzz online about “Bakers Without Borders.”
The bake sale and online raffle was started by Natalie Wollenberg, co-owner of 555 Brewing Co.
The Picton brewery is raising money to donate to the Canadian Red Cross, to assist efforts to support Ukraine.
The online raffle is $10 a ticket for four entries. A variety of businesses and groups have donated some great prizes. The raffle runs until April 3.
The bake sale will take place at the brewery this Sunday at 10 a.m. The Loyalist College Culinary programs have donated some black forest cakes and other goodies.
Following our chat with Natalie this week, we had a chance to talk to the Loyalist Culinary crew consisting of Chef Karin Desveaux, Chef John Schneeberger, and Chef Scott Royce.
