Friendly hockey wager between the mayors of Belleville and Rochester

The mayors of Belleville and Rochester have a friendly wager going as their local AHL teams get ready to battle it out on the ice.

The Belleville Senators and Rochester Amercians kick off their first-round playoff series tonight in Rochester.

Belleville will host Game 2 on Friday and possibly a Game 3 if it is needed.

Ahead of the matchup, the mayors have revealed what challenge they have going on.

Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk will be sending over Hawkins Cheezies and Signal Brewery beer if Rochester wins the series. Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans will have to ship over Zweigle’s Hot Dogs and Genesee Brew House Beers.

The winning team will move on to face the top-ranked Utica Comets.
