
Ronnie Hawkins, the Arkansas-born, but long-time Canadian resident has passed away after a lengthy illness. He left an indelible mark on the blues, rockabilly, rock and country music scenes. Hawkins moved to the Peterborough area in the mid 1960’s after experiencing success for his musical talents here. His adopted homeland has honoured him with a Juno and as an honourary Officer of the Order of Canada. More here.
