The rising cost of food, gasoline, and everything else it seems continues to really impact families.
On Monday, Food Banks Canada issued results of their recent telephone survey. They talked to 4,000 people over three months ago. Food Banks Canada said that about a quarter of them believed they were eating less because they did not have enough money.
Susanne Quinlan joined us this week on “In Touch With Quinte” to talk about what’s happening locally. She is the Director of Operations at Gleaners Food Bank. Quinlan says that they continue to be in need of more funding and volunteers as the demand rises.
