A section of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in Belleville near Loyalist College remains closed after a serious crash.
News of the collision first started to be reported just before noon.
Belleville Police say in a statement this afternoon, that a tractor-trailer collided with a pick-up truck near the College’s main entrance. One driver suffered serious injuries and has been transported to Kingston General Hospital.
Wallbridge-Loyalist Road remains closed at the Highway 2 intersection to all traffic travelling north. The road is closed to Moira Street West for those travelling south.
Police continue to investigate. Officers have not released a timeline for when they expect the road to be back open.
Students and staff at Loyalist College can continue to come through the north entrance. Belleville Transit it not pulling in at the College. Passengers are being asked to walk to the Moira Street West or Avonlough Road bus stops.
