There is a new scholarship for local students who are connected to the military.
The Trenton Military Family Resources Centre and O’Quinn Team Real Estate have teamed up to launch a $2,000 scholarship.
The money is for students in Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland County who have family in the Canadian Armed Forces, either actively serving or retired.
The Homefront Heroes Scholarship was announced over the weekend at the 16th annual Invisible Ribbon Gala.
The successful recipient must be graduating high school this year and heading to a post-secondary institution in the fall. Candidates can submit a 3-5 minute video demonstrating how they reflect the moto – “Be Kind, Be Bold, Be Brave.”
