Belleville Police are looking for assistance with identifying a suspected wanted in connection to a sexual assault investigation.
Police say that yesterday between 11 a.m. and noon, a 15-year-old girl was walking in the downtown core, in the area of Front Street and Campbell Street.
She was reportedly approached by a man who pushed her up against a wall and sexually assaulted her. Police say that she was able to physically fend off the man, and did not suffer any physical injuries.
Police are looking to identify the man involved. He is described as 30-40 years old with dark hair and a dark bushy beard. He was wearing a green army style jacket with lots of pockets and a blue ball cap.
Police are looking for anyone with more information or dash cam footage from vehicles near the area at the time.
