Its time for a bake off – Prince Edward County style.
Residents will be competing for ribbons .. and bragging rights, at the Picton Fair this weekend.
The Picton Fair Bake Off Challenge is this Saturday at the Prince Edward Curling Club. Cooks must get their items in by 9 a.m. on event day and include a sample piece for the judges. The judging will take place shortly after, followed by the auction at 10:30 a.m.
The desserts will be auctioned off with proceeds going to support the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Classes:
- Cake: white and chocolate
- Fruit Pie: apple pie and berry pie
- Cream Pie: coconut cream pie and lemon meringue pie
- Cheesecake
A tax receipt will be issued for donations over $50.
