Loyalist College in Belleville will be involved in a community exercise with Quinte West.
The Mock Community Emergency Preparedness Exercise will take place on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dozens of Loyalist College students will be participating. The Digital Media Centre at Loyalist College in Belleville will be used by students and community partners during the event. The parking lot nearby will also be roped off.
The event will be focused at County Farm Centre at 222 Hamilton Road. A section of Hamilton Road will be closed during the mock event. Residents will notice more emergency and City vehicles in the area. The City of Quinte West notes that the exercise is a provincial requirement. To learn more visit quintewest.ca/BePrepared.
