One of the key topics that we hear alot about in the halls at Loyalist College in Belleville is transit.
The City has just added new fareboxes on all city buses. Riders eventually be able to pay with cash to board the bus, use their reloadable pass, or gain access to the electronic pass through a QR Code.
Debit and credit card options will follow.
Belleville Council passed a new Transit Master Plan last year. Staff decided to delay launching a new layout for the bus routes, to accommodate Loyalist College students.
The new route structures will be in place around April.
