91X was again an active participant at the most recent Loyalist College Service fair. These events are held at the start of each new semester so new students can learn more about the supports, services and volunteer opportunities that are available on-campus and in the community. The most recent fair was held May 8th for students enrolled in the spring semester. 91X Volunteer Coordinator Robert Baird was on hand to answer questions from students who may have an interest in becoming a volunteer on-air host. A contest was also held where students could fill out a ballot to win some cool 91X merch. Some of the new voices you hear on 91X are volunteers who learned about 91X opportunities through events like this. Our volunteer recruitment project is funded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
