The City of Belleville has issued the following statement this morning.
Glanmore National Historic Site to be Closed for Seasonal Exhibit Installation
The City of Belleville’s Glanmore National Historic Site, part of the Community Services Department, is getting ready for the winter holiday season.
The museum will be closed from Nov. 4 to 8 to facilitate a seasonal exhibit installation at the site. During this time, staff will be busily transforming the restored rooms of the historic house museum to represent an 1890s Christmas in Belleville. Garlands, bows and Christmas trees will abound, and antique toys from the Regional Collection will be featured. November and December are always very busy months for the museum with many seasonal events scheduled to take place.
Normal hours for visiting the historic site, will resume on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets to visit the museum can be pre-purchased at www.glanmore.ca or are available upon arrival.
