Another round of winter weather is heading our way overnight.
Environment Canada has placed the Quinte region under a snowfall warning. The snow and ice mix is expected to start after midnight. Environment Canada is calling for 10 to 20 cm overnight, as the temperature rising to -1 Celsius by morning.
Overall, the system could dump up to 15- to 25 cm of snow in this part of Ontario. The peak snowfall rate overnight is projected at 2 to 4 cm per hour.
Thursday will bring with it another 2 to 4 cm of snow and ice, with a risk of freezing rain. Environment Canada expects the majority of the system to move out by early afternoon. High of 2 Celsius for the day.
