Celebrate Diwali in downtown Belleville.
The festival celebrating light over darkness and good over evil, will take place this Sunday at Market Square from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Hardik Patel, the lead organizer with the Diwali Committee, has announced that the free-family event will feature food, dancing, and music. The opening ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. followed by a sparkler celebrating at 7 p.m. The Front Street parking lot across City Hall, will be closed off to host a DJ party.
