The City of Belleville has confirmed this week, that the annual Santa Claus Parade will take place on Sunday, November 16th.
Road closures will start at 2:30 p.m., beginning on Bridge Street East, between McDonald Avenue and Singleton Street. Belleville Police will move the road closures east as the parade rolls along.
The parade will start at Bridge Street West and Sidney Street at 4:30 p.m. Floats will move from the old Belleville fairgrounds area, through the downtown core and end at the corner of Herchimer Avenue around 7 p.m.
Families are invited to gather at the Glanmore National Historic Site on parade day from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. City staff will be opening up the museum for free, with a variety of seasonal crafts to do.
Gleaners food bank will be collecting donations along the parade route. Donations are also being encouraged to the Firefighters Toy Drive.
