Several groups in Belleville are coming together to collect donations for those impacted by Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean.
The powerful hurricane hit the region towards the end of October, and caused around $9 billion in damage in Jamaica alone.
Belleville Police have announced over Instagram, that they will be joining the City’s Caribbean Committee, Belleville Fire, and other organizations, in collecting donations to go to Jamaica.
Residents can drop-off donations at the following locations:
-Friday, November 21st – Belleville Metro – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
-Saturday, November 22nd – Freshco Belleville & Rona Belleville – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Residents can also drop-of donations until November 30th, at the Belleville Police Station and their Downtown Community Policing Office.
