St. Lawrence College and Fleming College announce plan to merge

Fleming College and St. Lawrence College have announced plans today, to move forward together.

Statements on both College website today, note that thee two institutions have started the process to formally integrate as equal partners.

Both colleges add they plan to keep their local brands. St. Lawrence College has a main campus in Kingston, with sites in Brockville and Cornwall. Fleming College runs out of Peterborough, with smaller campuses in Cobourg, Lindsay and Haliburton.

Don Gillespie, the Board Chair for Fleming College adds in a statement, “that the process reflects a thoughtful, long-term approach to building greater capacity, expanding opportunities, and protecting the strength of college education across our region.”
