The Belleville Senators host the Syracuse Crunch tonight for the final game of the regular season.
The Senators will travel to face the Crunch on Saturday to close out their season. Belleville will not make the Calder Cup playoffs for the second season in a row.
Coming up tonight at the CAA Arena, it’s all about the fans. The Belleville Senators are inviting fans to greet the players on the red-carpet starting at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon. The first 1,500 fans to the game will recieve a Belleville Senators flag. The doors open at 6 p.m. There will be balloon artists for the kids and lots of sweet treats.
The Belleville Senators have also announced that forward Arthur Kaliyev has been named to the AHL’s First All-Stars Team. The 24-year-old is the first player in franchise history to make the list.
“Arthur had an exceptional year and is very deserving of this recognition. His ability to generate offence and make an impact every night was a major asset to our group, and we’re proud to see him recognized among the league’s best,” said Belleville Senators General Manager Matt Turek, in a statement.
