Belleville Downtown District BIA will be hosting the annual spicy food competition this Saturday.
Savour The Heat will run from noon to 3 p.m. across a variety of downtown Belleville businesses.
Visitors can sample a spicy dish for $2 each at 15 participating businesses.

*Cookie Jar Baking- Spicy Macaron
*Frosty Bubble Bliss- Rainbow Rice
*Good Company Food Shop- Matt’s Hot Maple Pulled Pork Sliders
*Pearl Bubble Tea- Japanese Curry Meatball Soup
*Pho Blue Basil Restaurant- Vegetarian Basil Blaze Fried Rice
*Obi’s Kitchen- Charcoal Grilled Ground Pork Pinwheels
*Sans Souci- Tai Chili Turkey Bites
*The Kafana- Beer-Braised Moroccan Chicken
*The Lark- Mama Mia! That’s-a One Spicy Meatball!
*Tropical Blends- Corn In A Cup
Most entries are customizable on the “heat scale”, from mild to as hot as you can handle! Whether you’re a heat-seeking daredevil or want to test your palette, Savour the Heat promises a culinary adventure for everyone.
Just like the soup contest, their will be a People’s Choice Award and Judges Choice Award. Visitors can cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award by heading to DowntownBelleville.ca or finding the QR codes up at participating places.
