What: Summer promotions coordinator & media assistant
When: Jun 29th to Aug 23rd (8 weeks)
Hours: Up to 35 hours per week (requires weekend work)
Wage: $18.15/hr + mileage
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must be between 18 & 30 years of age and be a Canadian citizen.
About us:
91X, CJLX-FM is a campus/community radio station broadcasting from Loyalist College. Our programming provides music, news and local information to the Quinte Community.
Position Summary:
A hands-on role where you will gain experience in media, promotions, event coordination and communications.
Duties:
-Arrange for 91X to make appearances at summer events throughout Quinte.
-Contact local event planners, organizers and groups
-Set up canopy and other remote and promotional equipment on site & engage with visitors
-Conduct brief on-air reports to inform listeners about the event
-Organizing and maintaining information on community events & updating social media
-Assist staff with gathering of listener engagement data
-Assist office with maintaining programming schedules and other duties as needed
