The City of Belleville has announced plans for Canada Day.
City staff have taken over running and organizing key events from the Belleville Chamber of Commerce. Belleville staff note in a statement this week, that Canada Day festivities on Wednesday, July 1st will be held once again at West Zwick’s Park. Parking for the event will once again be $5 per vehicle, going towards local charities.
Activities will start at 11 a.m., and include live-music, a lumberjack competition, hockey zone, and local vendors. Belleville Transit will be running free shuttle buses that day from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., going from Quinte Mall, the downtown terminal, and the park.
Belleville is planning to have fireworks that evening between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., depending on the weather.
