This year marks the 190th anniversary of the Belleville Police Service, one of the oldest in the country.
Local historian and author Richard Hughes joined us on, “In Touch With Quinte,” this week.
The past president of the Hastings County Historical Society was one of three authors that created a new comprehensive book about the service. The book is available at Indigo Belleville, the Belleville Log Cabin, and Community Archives at the Belleville Public Library.
The Belleville Police exhibit at the Glanmore National Historic Site continues this summer.
